If A=B*C, where B and C are different positive integers, including 1 and A, how many factors does A have?
(A) Including 1 and itself, B has 4 factors.
(B) Including 1 and itself, C has 3 factors.
Solution (Posted on Dec 22nd):
Together S . C as 4 factors of B and 3 factors of C can be combined in 12 ways so 12 factors.
